The SU Lacrosse Camp Experience

Gary Gait has been directing camps for 20 years and has developed the ultimate camp experience for lacrosse players that want to take their game to the next level. Gary has had hundreds of young players come through his camps and go on to reach their goal of playing lacrosse at the college level. Many have gone on to be High School All-Americans as well as NCAA All-Americans. Coach Gait has also created a unique progression series of drills that teaches players how to learn individual and teams skills. The camps then allow scrimmage and game settings to put those new skills into action!

Instruction

Campers are taught how to learn the skills rather than just be put through drills. Coach Gait feels it will increase the athlete's learning curve and skill development if they understand how and why as they are taught specific drills. Campers will learn through Gary's unique progression drills. Each day the drills will become increasingly difficult and complex. All of the skills and concepts are taught to allow the players to develop the abilities necessary to play at the elite level!

**Note: pages will be provided in the camper welcome packet so campers can make notes on the skills and drills taught each day.

Staff

Gary Gait has chosen a staff that brings a wealth of coaching experience. At each camp there will be a 3 tier system utilized with various levels of experience. Camp Directors and Assistant Directors will provide instruction and instructional oversight. Camp Coaches will provide most of the instruction during the camp. Camp counselors will support camp coaches during instruction and have many other duties and roles. The entire staff will work together to provide the most effective instructional organization. Campers will have an ideal environment for learning all of the latest skills and techniques taught at camp.
